Night Vision Wednesdays

Last night was the first of many to come Wednesday night dance parties with DJ Seez and DJ Toma at the Blue Dog in Montreal.  Lucky for me I got a new Nikon Speedlight (SB-600) for Christmas and got a chance to test it out last night! Turns out it can do some damage.  Unfortunately, my lens has become quite old and no longer, to my surprise last night, is capable of it’s usual quick autofocus.  I lost quite a few good snaps due to this problem..  This means it’s time to go lens shopping!

Here is a screenshot of the widely anticipated website I have been crunching on at various coffee shops around Montreal during the summer.

I designed the look and feel of the site and built it in Photoshop, ImageReady and Dreamweaver.  The photography is what you can find in my earlier blog post here, and the content changes as time goes by.  The site is now out of my hands, but for now can still be found at http://www.0432am.com

Deer God!

This is a piece of the brilliant window display that drew in suspicious and avant-garde shoppers to the lovely maternity boutique on Pins in Montreal this past summer.   It’s ally, a similar looking bear, was beside the deer also styling a dress designed by KO clothes. The backdrop we painted dark blue and decorated in leaves, vines and white flowers.  

This was on my first day as an intern and I have to say, I loved every minute of bringing this creature to life with all materials I could find laying around.
